The Japanese Garden in Portland Oregon is hosting a show entitled, Texture: The Art of Paper and Fiber, which will be on display at the tea house from April 10-18. There you will find work created by more than 25 artists. This show reflects the influence of Eastern traditions, with a deep appreciation for exquisite texture and beauty of fine paper and handmade textiles. The artists employ Japanese motifs and pursue traditional techniques. I feel very fortunate to be able to take part in this show and sale. Below are three pictures from the exhibition, and two of the three quilts that I have entered.
